Altamonte Springs, Fla., October 6, 2026. ProgUSA LLC, a United States distributor of electrical test and measurement equipment serving utilities, NETA firms, and industrial markets since 2005, today announced that harnageIR has joined ProgUSA. Operating as harnageIR Services, the team becomes the Thermal & Acoustic Imaging Services arm of ProgUSA's Electrical Risk Assessment Services.

ProgUSA now operates two groups. The Utility Test Group is the test and measurement equipment business the company has run since 2005. Electrical Risk Assessment Services began earlier this year with Power Quality Services, led by Mark Shirah and focused on power quality assessment for utility and industrial customers. That group's early infrared and acoustic air leak detection work led ProgUSA to bring in harnageIR. Thermal & Acoustic Imaging Services now gives that work a dedicated team, with capabilities that complement the equipment programs ProgUSA's customers already run.

Under the arrangement, ProgUSA becomes the vendor of record, carrying the working capital, back office, insurance, and national reach behind the team. harnageIR's people, standards, and field capability carry forward unchanged. Customers keep the same teams and the same quality, now with the scale of a twenty-year distribution company behind them.

harnageIR Services, led by founder John Harnage, brings infrared thermography and acoustic air leak detection, built across public power, schools, warehousing, and industrial clients, including growing work along the Ohio River public power corridor. Mark Shirah's team brings power quality assessment. One combined group now delivers a broad set of electrical risk assessment services under a single roof.

"I have spent my career backing good people and good businesses, and John has built something real," said Glenn Poulos, President of ProgUSA. "Bringing harnageIR into ProgUSA puts our capital and our reach behind a team that already delivers at a high level. Equipment, education, and service under one roof is the partnership our customers have been asking us for."

"We've been in the IR inspection industry for 20 years, and we spent the last year rebuilding this business into something built to last. Joining ProgUSA is how we take it national," said John Harnage, founder of harnageIR, who now leads ProgUSA's Thermal & Acoustic Imaging Services. "Our goal is simple, to be the infrared company that helps keep the lights on, from the public power communities to industrial and commercial clients across the country. With ProgUSA behind us, we can grow faster and serve bigger than we ever could alone."

"Pairing power quality with John's infrared and acoustic inspection background gives our customers one team for electrical risk assessment," said Mark Shirah, Director, Engineering and Project Services, who leads ProgUSA's Power Quality Services. "We are just getting started."

For customers and channel partners, day to day service continues without interruption. The same team delivers the work, purchase orders and invoicing transition to ProgUSA, and the group can now serve more locations than either company could reach on its own.
