CHK Miro PQ45: Class A Power Quality Analysis, Built for the Field

Miro PQ45 (600V)
The Miro PQ45 is a 600 VACrms, three-phase power quality logger and analyzer. It is a Class A, CAT IV 600V, four-voltage-channel (3P + Ground + N), high-precision, weatherproof (NEMA4X) instrument, and is featured on our CHK Power Quality page.
It measures a broad set of power quality parameters, including voltage sags, swells, interruptions, flicker, THD, harmonics, interharmonics, temperature, frequency, mains signaling, power, energy, and ground voltages. Waveform and RMS captures can be generated using configurable triggers, such as rate of change of voltage (dv/dt), sliding reference, and instantaneous voltage and current values, and alarm lists are produced when set thresholds are exceeded.
The NEMA4X rating lets crews install the Miro PQ45 outdoors, on poles, transformers, and in switchyards. The instrument is powered by the circuit being measured and can also run from an external DC supply using the adapter provided, and its compact design fits constrained spaces. Isolated voltage inputs, each channel with its own neutral, support a wide range of wiring configurations.
Miro PQ45-1k (1000V)
The Miro PQ45-1k shares all of the PQ45's measurement capability in a 1000 VACrms, DC-powered version. It is designed specifically for renewable energy applications such as PV and wind, where higher rated output voltages are expected, for example 690 VAC on wind turbine generators. The PQ45-1k is powered by an external DC supply using the adapter provided; all other features and capabilities are identical to the Miro PQ45.
CITRUS Software and Communications
Both instruments are supported by CITRUS, CHK's power quality analysis software. The Miro PQ45 is WiFi enabled, with optional integrated cellular communications, and supports DNP3, MQTT, and TCP-IP protocols for integration with utility systems.
Automatic report generation makes compliance work straightforward, with built-in reports including IEEE 519 for harmonics and NEC 220.87 for connected-load surveys, making the analyzer well suited to compliance reporting and energy audits.
