FLIR Thermal and Acoustic Imaging for Electrical Inspection
Most electrical failures give a warning first: a connection running hot, or discharge on an insulator you can hear but not see. FLIR thermal and acoustic cameras find both from a safe distance, with the equipment energized and no outage.

Why buy FLIR from ProgUSA
ProgUSA has supplied electrical test and diagnostic equipment to utilities, NETA firms and industrial plants since 2005. We carry FLIR for inspection programs that run on FLIR cameras, alongside our FOTRIC thermal and UViRCO corona lines, so you can compare options with one supplier. We help you match the camera, lens and software to what you inspect, and we stay with you after the sale.
Find hot connections before they fail
Handheld thermal cameras for switchgear, transformers, breakers, motors and NFPA 70B inspection programs.
FLIR T865
Flagship handheld thermal camera
The T865 is the top of FLIR's T800-Series, built for inspectors who scan critical electrical and mechanical equipment all day. The 180° rotating optical block lets you reach overhead and awkward targets without contorting, and laser-assisted autofocus keeps every measurement sharp.
640 × 480 IR resolution, with UltraMax image enhancement
Thermal sensitivity below 30 mK
Measures from -40°C to 2000°C across ranges; accuracy ±1°C or ±1% from 5°C to 100°C
Works with the FlexView dual field-of-view lens and an optional 6° telephoto lens for small or distant targets
5 MP visual camera and Wi-Fi upload to FLIR Ignite

FLIR T560
640 × 480 resolution (307,200 measurement points) in the lighter T500-Series body, with the same 180° rotating optics, laser-assisted autofocus and FlexView lens compatibility. A strong fit for teams that want high resolution without stepping up to the T865.
Find partial discharge before it becomes a failure
Discharge often shows up acoustically before it shows up as heat.

FLIR Si2-PD
Acoustic imaging camera for partial discharge
The Si2-PD detects, locates, classifies and assesses partial discharge on high-voltage equipment, from conductors and substation transformers to switchgear. It runs one-handed with automatic tuning, so field techs can survey quickly and make a repair call on site.
124 low-noise MEMS microphones, 2–130 kHz bandwidth
Works from 0.3 m to 200 m (656 ft)
On-camera severity assessment and partial discharge type classification
12 MP visual camera, 8x zoom, 5-inch display, IP54
Fleet management tools for programs with several cameras
Watch the substation between inspections
Fixed cameras and radar for sites that need continuous monitoring: hot spots, fire risk and intrusion.
FLIR PT-Series AI SR
Thermal and 4K pan/tilt security camera
Wide-area outdoor surveillance for substations, generating stations and other critical sites, with onboard analytics that detect and classify people and vehicles.
640 × 512 thermal sensor, below 25 mK sensitivity
4K visible camera with 25x optical zoom
FLIR Fusion AI detection and classification at the edge
Continuous 360° pan, 256 presets, coverage up to 1,000 m
IP66, MIL-STD-810F shock and vibration, ONVIF Profile S, G and T

FLIR FH-Series R PTZ
Radiometric thermal pan-tilt-zoom camera for hot spot and fire detection. It measures surface temperatures in user-defined spots and areas in real time and pairs a 640 × 512 thermal sensor with a 1080p, 30x zoom visual camera for verification. IP66.
FLIR Nexus Security Bundle
Elara DX-Series thermal and visible cameras plus Elara R-290 ground radar (90° coverage; people to 200 m, vehicles to 400 m), linked through FLIR Nexus so devices trigger alarms and hand off targets to each other. Works with FLIR United VMS and other ONVIF S systems.
