CoroCAM® 6HD
High Performance Solar Blind UV Corona Camera
The CoroCAM® 6HD sets a new benchmark for corona camera performance, designed to inspect High Voltage infrastructure operating at 3.3 KV and above for corona discharges and arcing. It pairs an HD visible camera with a high-sensitivity solar blind UV camera, offering the highest resolving power among corona cameras. This combination facilitates the recording of physical damage for maintenance priority assessment using the EPRI® methodology. Both cameras are mechanically and electronically aligned, ensuring precise overlay of detected discharges at all optical zoom levels. Digital enhancements amplify small signals, reduce noise, and make discharges more visible.
The integrated GPS enables the capture of information-rich recordings, with options for stills and videos, each accompanied by a meta-data file. A variable angle LCD display, with an optional sun hood, a simple user interface, and one-handed operation, makes the CoroCAM® 6HD user-friendly and capable of capturing optimal images.
CoroCAM® 7HD
Professional Solar Blind Corona Camera
The CoroCAM® 7HD is a professional-grade, solar blind UVc imaging system designed for easy operation, used to visualize and locate electrical discharges (corona and arcing) from High Voltage hardware. It is typically employed to inspect High Voltage infrastructure operating at 3.3 KV and above. Featuring the same solar blind UVc imaging system as the CoroCAM® 6D, the 7HD includes advanced image enhancement features to increase sensitivity (adjustable Long Integration & Non-Solar Blind Mode), reduce false signals (adjustable Noise Reduction & Threshold Level), and improve discharge visibility (adjustable Background Priority, Blob Transparency, and Blob False Colour). This state-of-the-art UVc imaging system is paired with a high-performance visible camera, achieving an Instantaneous Field of View (IFOV) of 0.01917mRad for its visible channel when recording UCF files.
UCF files record the uncompressed displayed image, raw UVc channel, camera settings, and calibration values in one file, which can be imported into the CoroBASE® Analysis and Reporting software.
The adjustable viewfinder, rotatable grip, and LCD display ensure optimal ergonomics, allowing the operator to use the camera in various lighting conditions and positions, minimizing muscle fatigue.
CoroCAM® 8HD
Combined LWIR and Solar Blind UV Corona camera
The CoroCAM® 8HD is a combination of a radiometric FLIR® thermal LWIR camera, a solar blind UV camera and HD visible camera. The CoroCAM® 8HD is intended for use by professional High Voltage infrastructure inspectors. The combination of these 3 cameras makes it possible to do both thermal IR and Corona inspections at the same time, saving time and effort. Co-location of electrical discharges and hot spots give the inspector more insight into the cause of a fault.
The FLIR® LWIR camera delivers high resolution radiometric information. The LWIR 640×512 pixel module is fitted with a 10.4° × 8.3° FOV F/1.25 lens which is optimal for overhead infrastructure inspections.
The CoroCAM® 8HD features a solar blind UVc imaging system similar to that in the CoroCAM® 6HD. Advanced UVc image enhancement features are available to increase sensitivity (adjustable Long Integration & Non-Solar Blind Mode*), reduce false signals (adjustable Noise Reduction & Threshold Level) and improve the visibility of the discharge indicating blob (adjustable Background Priority, Blob Transparency and Blob False Colour). This world class UVc imaging system is paired with a high zoom HD visible camera, allowing it to achieve an IFOV (Instantaneous Field of View) of 0.01917mRad/ ∆K of 52.1629 for its visible channel.
UCF files are XML based files used to record the uncompressed displayed, raw UVc & radiometric thermal images, the camera settings and calibration values in one file.
CoroCAM® 8HD UAV
Remote controlled combined LWIR and Solar Blind UV Camera for use on UAV's.
The CoroCAM® 8HD UAV is a combined thermal IR, solar blind corona and video camera, sized and balanced to fit into a standard commercial gimbal and to be fitted by an Enterprise grade UAV.
The UAV also allows for inspection from various directions of hard to reach overhead hardware. Having the camera closer to the hardware under inspection allows the visible camera to capture more detailed images of the physical condition of the components. This is required in order to assign maintenance priority using the EPRI® guideline.
The combination of these 3 cameras makes it possible to do both thermal IR and UV inspections at the same time, saving time and effort. Co-location of electrical discharges and hot spots give the inspector more insight into the kind and cause of a fault.
Installation onto the UAV or a tri-pod is quick and easy. The CoroCAM® 8HD UAV can be remote controlled from a standard radio controller using PWM or SBUS. Recordings can be done on the CoroCAM® 8HD UAV or at a combination HDMI display/recorder ground station.
CoroCAM® UVS
Fly longer inspections with this lighter, designed for UAV Solar Blind UV Corona and HD visible camera.
SPECIALIST UAV CORONA CAMERA
The CoroCAM® UVS is a designed for UAV combination of the successful CoroCAM Solar Blind corona sensor and a HD visible camera in a lightweight package able to fit into smaller gimbals.
The resulting system gives excellent UV sensitivity, a wide FOV for close up inspection and good resolving power.
Setup via Bluetooth, with video and still recordings onto an onboard µSD card, download the HDMI or composite output and input remote control commands via CANBUS / PWM / RS232 / Ethernet.
